Internal garden
I observe my internal garden,
Appreciating its cycles of devastation and regeneration.
What is cleared creates space for what is yet to come.
I nourish my internal garden,
Discerning what seeds and what soil are needed
For the season that is unfolding anew.
I tend my internal garden,
Cultivating and care-taking,
Rooting so that what stems is assured in its foundation.
In this garden, I practice settling myself,
Bringing peace to my full being,
And welcoming new growth.
