A finished product
What you see here is a finished product. A beautiful, colorful finished product wrapped with care by the creative geniuses at the stationery shop, Belle+Union. What you don’t see, but what I want to share, is that this finished product would never have been possible without the support of kind and generous people who helped refine the rough edges into their final form.
Isn’t that the case with most things? We all have our rough edges and our rough moments. Life is full of challenges. When we keep those challenges to ourselves, we miss out on the opportunity for deepened connection with others. When we try to hide our struggles, we miss out on creating openings for others to contribute what they are uniquely positioned to share that might make a difference.
This beautiful box holds the first printing of my Piñata Possible business cards.
Thank you to Meg, Belle+Union’s Boss Lady and Doodler, who sat with me in a cozy corner of her shop and said she felt confident she could create a design that reflected the true essence of my intentions with Piñata Possible. She created something truly magical.
Thank you to Kristina, owner at Hello Tallulah. Her vintage shop is one of the most colorful spots in all of San Antonio. She let me browse the clothing racks for hours to find inspiration in the colors that spoke to me.
Thank you to Melissa, my best friend of 25+ years, who, upon seeing my agony in making the final color choices for the card, told me, what I needed was a little bit of teal. She always knows just what I need to hear.
While a business card might feel like a small thing to many people, to me, it represents a tangible piece of evidence that Piñata Possible exists. And that feels huge! When I hold these cards in my hands, I hold a little piece of possibility that is waiting to be shared with the world. I am also reminded of all the good that comes from asking for help and building trusting partnerships.
Here’s to appreciating the winding journey of exploration and experimentation, without which, a finished product would never become what it is.
