Home is always within
When we feel far from what’s familiar, it’s normal to experience some discomfort or destabilization.
Such distance from what’s known and familiar can bring a range of emotions.
Instead of pretending we don’t feel such emotions, we can instead give ourselves space to allow our feelings to move through us.
When we pause to allow processing of the unfamiliar, we allow our brain and body to catch up to the present moment and shift back into their infinite capacity to learn, grow, and evolve.
If you are confronting the unknown or unfamiliar, I invite you to spend time in the places, or with the people, that bring you comfort, peace, or joy. Dwelling in these places can support us from dwelling too long in the energy of our unprocessed emotions.
What might begin as brief moments of peace and joy can, and will, compound over time to help regulate and heal.
When we shift and support our inner environment and experience, we can restore our power to then shift and support our external environment. This changes the game.
Look within for what brings you comfort, peace, and joy, and know that these experiences are always available to be rediscovered and restored.
No matter how far from home you may feel, home is always within.
