Change the starting point
Dear Leader, you are on the other side of so much.
If ever you feel behind or overwhelmed, I invite you to 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁.
Often, we feel behind and overwhelmed when we compare ourselves to our expectations and aspirations. We observe where we are 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙬𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙗𝙚.
Today, however, I invite you to view where you are–your current place–𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙤𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙚.
Perhaps your current place is something you dreamed of long ago. Perhaps your current challenges are the result of you getting this far and accomplishing this much. Perhaps your current longing is the gentle guidance of the dreams you’re still holding in your heart, guidance for a path that is still unfolding.
But your path did not begin today. You’re on the other side of many important parts of your journey. You carry within you so many lessons, so many experiences, and so many obstacles overcome.
Consider, for a moment, something you know how to do today that, at one point, was something new you had to learn. Consider the number of things you now do easily and fluidly that, once upon a time, were difficult and challenging.
For whatever it is you’re currently navigating, consider that you have been preparing for it 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴. Across your lifetime, you’ve collected wisdom and experiences to prepare you for what you’re navigating right now. One day, you’ll be on the other side of this challenge, too.
I invite you to remind yourself that you’ve traveled to the other side of obstacles many times before now.
Notice how far you’ve already come. Look back in awe. Look back in appreciation. And look forward with the confidence of knowing all that is behind you, supporting you and sustaining you.
You’re well-practiced. You’re well-resourced. You’re well on your way.
